Post-Installation Packaging & Cleanup Services

An IKEA kitchen generates mountains of cardboard, polystyrene, and plastic wrap. Serving homeowners across New England, our cleanup crew removes every scrap of packaging and construction debris, sorts it for recycling, and leaves your home spotless — so you can start cooking in your new kitchen right away.

Typical price range: $200 - $800

About Packaging & Cleanup

A typical IKEA kitchen installation produces 30 to 60 flat-pack boxes, dozens of polystyrene inserts, plastic wrapping, and miscellaneous hardware packaging. Add countertop offcuts, tile adhesive bags, and plaster dust from bulkhead construction, and you can easily fill an entire room with waste. Our packaging and cleanup service handles all of it for homeowners throughout Massachusetts, Connecticut, and Rhode Island.

We sort all waste materials on-site into recyclable and non-recyclable streams. Cardboard is flattened and bundled, polystyrene is separated for specialized recycling, and plastic wrap is bagged. This responsible approach diverts the majority of kitchen installation waste from landfill — aligning with the strong recycling standards across MA, CT, and RI communities.

Cleanup goes beyond removing boxes. We vacuum and mop all floors in the work area, wipe down cabinet exteriors, clean countertop surfaces, and remove any dust or debris from adjacent rooms that may have been affected by the installation. Whether your kitchen is in a Cambridge Victorian, a Westport colonial, or a Narragansett beach house, the goal is to hand you a kitchen that is ready to use — not one that needs another day of cleaning.

For multi-day installations, we offer daily cleanup passes to keep the work area safe and accessible. Stacked boxes and loose materials are tripping hazards, and sawdust on floors becomes slippery. Daily cleanup keeps your home livable during the project and maintains a safe workspace for our installers.

We bring our own cleanup supplies, bins, and transport. There is no need to rent a dumpster or make multiple trips to the recycling center. Our crew loads everything into our vehicle and handles disposal, so the only thing left for you to do is admire your new kitchen.

How It Works

1

Waste Collection

We gather all packaging, offcuts, and construction debris from every room affected by the installation, including hallways and entryways used for material staging.

2

Sorting & Recycling Prep

Cardboard is flattened and bundled, polystyrene is separated, plastics are bagged, and non-recyclable waste is collected for proper disposal.

3

Deep Clean

All floors in the work area are vacuumed and mopped. Cabinet exteriors and countertops are wiped down. Dust is removed from adjacent rooms.

4

Haul-Away

All sorted waste is loaded into our vehicle and transported to appropriate recycling and disposal facilities. Nothing is left behind.
